Background on Creator:
The Western Massachusetts towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich, Prescott, and North Dana were abolished in 1938 to allow the Swift River Valley to be flooded, thereby creating the Quabbin Reservoir to provide Boston with water.
Five maps prepared by the Massachusetts Metropolitan District Water Supply Commission of the anticipated site for the Quabbin Reservoir, and a map showing the route of Boston's water supply.
